Lakeside Tutoring

Lakeside offers free tutoring before and after school.  Students can meet with teachers to get extra help on assignments, complete missing work, and study for assessments.  

Making Up Absences:

Tutoring can help students make up for missed school days. 3 hours of tutoring = 1 day reduction in absences

Any student who has more than 10 daily absences should participate in tutoring until they have 10 or fewer absences.  In addition, students in high school credit classes need to maintain fewer than ten period absences to earn credit.  If a student has more than ten period absences, they should also participate in tutoring.

Parent Permission:

Before participating in any tutoring, students must have parent permission.  Parents can complete the online permission form to authorize their child to participate.  (Teachers check here to confirm that parents have signed.)  

Transportation:

Parents are responsible for providing transportation.  If transportation is a concern, please contact Mr. Smith to discuss options.

Schedule:

If teachers are available, students may work with their own teachers. Parents can make arrangements directly with teachers.  Otherwise, drop-in tutoring is available to all students based on this schedule:
